Uganda Named One Of The Best Destinations

Uganda named one of the best destinations

CNN Travel has named Uganda one of the best places to visit in 2023. This comes after the East African country was named one of the best places to visit this year. The story says that Uganda has more to offer tourists than just safaris and wildlife viewing, and that the country attracts people from all over the world.

CNN’s blog post “Where to Travel in 2023: The Best Places to Visit” makes it clear that Uganda’s focus on community and adventure tourism is a big reason why the country should be on any traveler’s list for 2023 as they make their way across Africa.

The CNN Travel network then talks about Uganda’s top tourist spots that set it apart from other African places that aren’t named. There are the mythical Mountains of the Moon, the shores of Lake Victoria, where the Nile starts, and an exciting water raft ride along the river. There is also a walk through the famous, impenetrable forest of Bwindi National Park, which is home to some of the last mountain gorillas.

“Then why not? Uganda is a beautiful wilderness playground, with the wide shores of Lake Victoria and the snowy Rwenzori Mountains. For those seeking adventure, the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, the craters of the Virunga volcano chain, or white-water rafting along the Victoria Nile are all possible. CNN ravels about it.

3 Days Gorilla Safari in Uganda
Uganda is a great place to visit because it has many kinds of vertebrates and other animals that can’t be found anywhere else in East and Southern Africa. In addition, its large forests are easier to get to than forests in other parts of Africa. This makes it the best place to see African forest animals in their natural environments, such as mountain gorillas, chimps, and many kinds of birds and butterflies.

There are a lot of closed-canopy forests in Uganda, which makes it different from other African vacation spots. The thick growth covers Afro-montane forests like the ones on Mount Elgon. These forests are a lot like the ones on Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Kenya, and Semliki National Park, which is an extension of the Congolese Basin and West Africa’s lowland jungle to the east.

Uganda has turned to advertising its other qualities to bring back tourism to all parts of the country after the COVID pandemic. Not only does it offer wealthy tourists the chance to see the Big Five animals or mountain gorillas, but it has also set itself up as the perfect place for international conferences, meetings, and events.

Plus, there is a big push to connect tourists with Ugandan communities and culture, offering tastes of Ugandan food, music, and adventure.

There are only four African countries on CNN Travel’s list of the best places to visit in 2023. They are Uganda, Rwanda, Egypt, and Tanzania.
