Brief information about the tour

A 3-day Uganda gorilla trekking tour is an affordable tour to the Bwindi impenetrable forest well planned for trekkers to spot the mountain gorillas. Here you are given strictly 1 hour to see these endangered species, go about their lives, and take photos. Gorilla trekking is the most productive wildlife adventure in Africa. The Bwindi Impenetrable National Park shelters half of the remaining mountain gorillas. The safari begins and ends in Kampala.

Day By Day Tour Summary

  • Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi.
  • Day 2: Gorilla tracking and community walk
  • Day 3: Transfer to Kampala.

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi

In the Early morning (6:30 am), you will drive southwestwards to the park through the districts of Wakiso, Mpigi, and Masaka, where you will spot the livelihoods of the central communities. You will have a stopover for lunch in Mbarara town (Agip motel). Then connect to Kabale town (Switzerland of Africa), then continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Dinner and night stay at either Gorilla Forest Camp (luxury), Silverback Lodge (mid-range) or Buhoma community bandas (Budget).

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Community walk

Gather together in the morning at the park offices for a meeting where you will be given instructions from and by the park guides about the rules & regulations regarding the activity and while with the mountain gorillas, continue for the incredible daring experience in the dark, dense forest, Usually, this activity takes 2–6 hours, depending on the position at which these gentle giants are.

You are to stay with these animals for strictly a maximum of 1 hour, then report back to the park offices and then go to your hotel/lodge for lunch and relax. Then later on, you may do a community walk in the evening near the Batwa community, where lots of entertainment and tales of their extraordinary culture will be displayed. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 3: Transfer to Kampala.

Early in the morning, after your breakfast, you will leave for Kampala, have some stopovers for you to take photos, like at the Uganda Equator, and have lunch. Upon arriving in the late afternoon, will be transferred to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay or to the airport for your flight and departure.
