This 12 days Uganda wildlife and gorilla safari will provide you with a wealth of wildlife, landscape, and cultural encounters in Uganda. The tracking of gorillas and chimpanzees is the focus of this safari, but there are also fantastic possibilities to observe rhinos, lions, hippos, buffaloes, leopards, elephants, and various kinds of birds, as well as a plethora of deep green forests. Day 1: Arrival for Best of Uganda Safari

A professional tour guide from Monumental Expeditions will meet you at Entebbe International Airport and bring you to your accommodation. Enjoy the cool wind from Lake Victoria, the world’s second-biggest lake. Have a restful night’s sleep since your trip begins the next day.

Day 2: Rhino Tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Day 3: Game drives and Boat Safari

We begin the day with a wildlife drive on the northern side of the Nile, looking for giraffes, elephants, hartebeest, buffaloes, leopards, lions, and other bird species. It is a joy to observe wild creatures in their natural habitat as they feed, play, and guard their young.

The safari will continue on the Nile in the afternoon. You will head for a casual boat safari where you will have greater chances to see a variety of animals and birds if you keep an eye on the water at Murchison Falls, often known as the “Devil’s Cauldron.” This boat safari will provide excellent wildlife viewing as well as views of the falls.

Day 4: Transfer for Chimps in Kibale Forest

After an early breakfast, we head for Kibale National Park, the world’s primate capital and the homeland of Chimpanzees. We hope you enjoyed a thrilling experience in Murchison Falls National Park. Kibale Forest is home to 13 kinds of primates, with chimpanzee tracking being the major draw, among many other exciting activities.

This excursion will take you through little villages, local marketplaces, and a variety of bird life. This is a day-long journey with a lunch box or a stop in a town along the way. Later that evening, you arrive at your lodge, ready for the adventure the next day.

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi Community Walk

During this safari, you may see red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white Columbus monkeys, butterflies, and birds calling from the ceilings. You’ll find the chimpanzees with the aid of your guide. Enjoy photo opportunities and observe them as they romp and dine.

With time, you will visit Bigodi Village, a wetland famed for its vast variety of birds and primates, in the afternoon. You are helping to improve this town by taking this trip since the revenues are utilised to build schools and provide modest loans.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, our trip proceeds to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a wildlife encounter on the Kasenyi Plains. When we arrive in the park, we’ll do a short game drive before heading to the lodge for lunch, relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Game drive and Boat Safari

The safari will resume in the afternoon with a boat tour on the Kazinga Canal, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. The boat safari provides fantastic photography opportunities in a calm setting, with plenty of bird life on the shoreline, including crocodiles, elephants, and so on. Dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable Forest

Today we begin our trek to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, the home of the gentle giants. This rewarding excursion takes us into the Kigezi highlands, which have beautiful landscapes of cultivated hills. Based on the time of arrival, lunch will be along the route or at the lodge.

As you prepare for the next day’s gorilla adventure, your lodge in or near the thick forest will provide you with excellent slumber.

Day 9: Gorillas trekking in Uganda

12 Days Uganda Wildlife and Gorilla SafariExperiencing the majestic apes of Bwindi National Park will be the highlight of your safari! Enjoy the abundance of life in the thick forest, which is home to several kinds of birds, butterflies, primates, and animals. Ultimately, with the assistance of your park ranger guide, you will come face-to-face with the massive and endangered mountain gorillas. The trekking experience might take anything from one hour (occasionally) to six hours. You just have one hour with the gorillas to capture your best moment.

Day 10: Transfer to Jinja

After an early breakfast, you will be taken to the airfield for your journey to Entebbe, from where you will continue to Jinja, East Africa’s adventurous hub.

The flight to Entebbe takes 1 hour and 50 minutes, while the drive to Jinja takes 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Day 11: Whitewater Rafting on the Nile

After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the whitewater rafting launch location.

The Nile has its birth at Jinja; explore the Nile’s source, where it begins its 4000 km trip through Africa, which is a huge challenge for rafters. You will have a full day of whitewater rafting.

Day 12: Transfer to Entebbe

After your morning breakfast, the guide will start up the engine, heading back to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight back home. Hopefully, you had a wonderful time touring Uganda. This concludes your 12-day Uganda wildlife and gorilla safari.
