3 Days Ssese Islands trip is one of the top travel packages for Ugandans. The Ssese Islands are a group of 84 islands located in Lake Victoria. Lake Victoria is Africa’s biggest freshwater lake. The Ssese Islands are located in Kalangala District, about 51 kilometers from Entebbe. The main activity on the islands is fishing, although tourism is quickly catching up. The Ssese Islands are one of the most popular tourist destinations in Uganda. Bugala Island is the most populous and visited. Bubembe Island, Nsirwe Island, Funve Island, Bugaba Island, Serinya Island, Kitobo Island, Kigungu, Ngamba, and Kalangala (where the district administrative offices are situated) are the other main islands.
Day By Day Tour Summary
Day 1: Pickup from Entebbe Airport, Kampala, or Jinja; Transfer to Sese Islands, Bugala
A professional tour guide from monumental expeditions will meet you at the Entebbe airport, your hotel, or Kampala and take you to the Nakiwogo landing spot in Entebbe before 2:00 p.m. The ferry departs at 2:00 p.m. After that, you will cruise for three days to the biggest island, Bugala. If you arrive early in the day and have to wait for the ferry for an extended period of time, our guide will take you on a tour of the Entebbe Botanical Gardens or the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (zoo). While aboard the ferry, take in the sights of the world’s second-biggest freshwater lake.
The ferry lets everyone off in Lutoboka Bay on Bugala Island, and by this point, you’ve probably realised how gorgeous the island is. Check into the hotel, have a shower, and go for a walk to soak in the breathtaking view. The remainder of the evening will be spent resting on the white-sand beach. Later in the evening, a campfire can be lit upon request.

Day 2: Nature walks, swimming, and fishing at Ssese Island
Begin your wonderful day with a magnificent breakfast served on the beach as you watch the sunrise. Following that, you will embark on a guided nature tour on Bugala Island. The island guide’s 3-day trip to Sese Islands, Uganda, will take you to all of the key spots on the island while offering information about the history and cultural significance of each location. The guide will also assist you in locating birds, primates, butterflies, and other animal species as you stroll through the island’s woods.
Visit the landing and fishing locations after the woodland walk to learn about their fishing lifestyle. Take as many shots of the island and anything you do as you can. Boat cruises, sport fishing, beach sports, and sunbathing are among the various activities that will be undertaken. We can also lend you a bike from the resort so you can explore the island on your own or with a guide.

Day 3: Departure to Kampala or Entebbe
Day 3: Departure to Kampala or EntebbeAfter breakfast, you will be transferred back to Entebbe or Kampala. The ferry departs Bugala at 8 a.m., arriving in Entebbe at 11 a.m. Our corporate guide will meet you in Nakiwogo and transport you back to Entebbe International Airport, Kampala, or Jinja. We believe you would have had a wonderful time on Bugala Island and departed with wonderful memories.
