Obtaining Chimpanzee Permits for Kibale Forest
We usually ask that you inform us of the day, month, and year that our guests who are interested in tracking chimpanzees plan to trek, as well as the location, when reserving permits. After that, Monumental Expeditions and Safaris will determine whether chimpanzee permits are available for your preferred location on those particular days.

Once we get your money, we’ll reserve your chimpanzee permits along with all other services in accordance with your safari itinerary. As the primate capital of Africa, Uganda makes your safari experience unforgettable by providing chimpanzee tracking along with other activities like boat safaris, wildlife viewing, gorilla tracking, and tracking golden monkeys.
Monumental Expeditions and Safaris specializes in group and custom safaris and tours to all ten of Uganda’s national parks. They also offer reliable and timely information on how to book gorilla and chimpanzee permits for your walk. Uganda Lodges arranges chimpanzee permits for Budongo Forest, whereas the National Forest Authority, which oversees Uganda’s forest reserves, handles reservations for chimpanzee permits for Kalinzu Ecotourism Site.

In all chimpanzee tracking locations, tracking is conducted in two shifts each day, the first one taking place in the morning and the second one in the afternoon. The chimpanzee population in Kibale Forest National Park is approximately 150 individuals.
To avoid rivalry over food, community members disperse into smaller groups throughout the day, then come together in the evening to construct nests that will last through the night.
