The stunning Griffin Falls are at the end of a lovely half-hour hike through a virgin rain forest. Namusa Hill, an ideal location for an overnight stay or a more strenuous climb, is about an hour away along the route.

Easily accessible from the route between Jinja and Kampala, Griffin Falls Camp is situated about 10 kilometers away. The Mabira Forest Integrated Community Organisation (MAFICO) is an NGO that owns the Griffin Falls Camp. By promoting sustainable development practices that minimize negative impacts on the environment, MAFICO aims to enhance the quality of life for local communities.
Through environmental advocacy, community organizing, and the mobilization of thirty community-based organizations, as well as funding for long-term, mutually beneficial community initiatives, MAFICO promotes forest stewardship in the surrounding communities. Community programs like as tree planting, water and sanitation, education, and HIV/AIDS positive living groups get a portion of the camp’s earnings.
Nature walks and activities at the Mabira Central Forest Reserve
Mabira is a deep rain forest with approximately 68 km of well-developed paths. The forest is a lovely environment for walking experiences, and there are plentiful primate populations, such as red-tailed monkeys, black and white Colobus monkeys, and grey-cheeked mangabeys.

Primate Observation.
Three kinds of monkeys call Mabira home: the red-tailed monkey, the black-and-white Colobus monkey, and the Uganda mangabey. We will identify butterflies and explore the forest in general.
Easy Accessibility
In Mukono District, on the major Kampala–Jinja Highway, is Mabira Central Forest Reserve. Both Jinja Town and the City center of Kampala are 54 kilometers away. Just a short dirt road away from the Najjembe commercial area lies the Eco-Tourism Site, which is around half a kilometer away from the main road. As a result, the Forest is open all year round to automobiles.
