Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Your driver/guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe after an early breakfast to begin your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for your double gorilla trekking safari. Stop at the Equator for photos and souvenir shopping, then enjoy lunch in Mbarara. Continue through scenic hills and terraced landscapes to Kabale, also known as the “Switzerland of Africa.” Arrive and check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: First Gorilla Trek and Transfer to a Different Sector
After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a pre-trek briefing on gorilla tracking rules. Your guide will help you choose a gorilla family based on your fitness level and interests. Trekking can take between 30 minutes to 6 hours, depending on gorilla movements. Once you find them, enjoy a magical hour observing and photographing these gentle giants.
Return to the park office for your gorilla tracking certificate, then transfer to another Bwindi sector for dinner and overnight.

Tips: Carry enough water, waterproof camera, raincoat, hat, sunglasses, hiking boots, and insect repellent.
Day 3: Second Gorilla Trek, Community Walk & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, enjoy your second gorilla trekking experience — this time with a different gorilla family. In the afternoon, go for a Batwa community walk to learn about their unique forest culture. Later, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, known for its 29 scenic islands, birdlife, and safe swimming waters. Relax by the lake as you enjoy dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Departure via Kigali or Entebbe
After breakfast, take a relaxing boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi to explore its islands and admire the terraced landscapes. Later, start your journey back to Kampala (or Kigali upon request), with a stopover for lunch en route. Arrive in the evening for drop-off at your hotel or airport transfer.
