17 days Congo river tour Itinerary
17 days Congo river tour Itinerary.
Day 1 Arrival in Kinshasa
When you arrive at the airport for your 17-day tour of the Congo River, we will be waiting for you and will transfer you to the hotel you have reserved in the city. Your arrival time in Dr. Congo will determine whether or not we are able to arrange for you to take a tour of Kinshasa for an additional charge.
Day 2 Flight to Mbandaka
We will transfer to the airport in Kinshasa after breakfast, and then we will board our flight to Mbandaka at eight in the morning. This ninety-minute flight provides us with a wonderful opportunity to comprehend the magnitude of the wildness that we will soon be exploring, as we will be flying over miles of areas of the forest that have not yet been explored.
Day 3-7: 17 days Congo river tour
We will be traveling on a small boat and setting up our own camps each night beside the rivers or camping with the Batwa or pygmies in the forest during the next five days of this 17-day Congo River Tour. These days will be filled with exciting adventures into the deep heart of Africa. We will be cruising on the Congo River and the Maringa River.
This will provide you with complete independence and a cultural immersion experience with the local tribes. You will have the unique opportunity to interact with them as they go about their daily lives, which include activities like as fishing, hunting in the forests, and harvesting fruits, all of which have been something they have done for thousands of years. At long last, we have arrived at the headquarters of Lomako Park.
Day 8-11: 17 days Congo river tour
Banobo hike. Banobos, which used to be called pygmy chimpanzees, are now known as a separate species. At first, they were thought to be a type of chimpanzees, and they only live in the Congo Basin. For the next two days, we’ll be walking, which will let us get close to the Banobos without bothering them.
There will be a small window of time when you can watch them clean each other, build nests, eat their favorite fruits and herbs, and mate. Along with the Black Mangabey, you might also see the Red River Hog, the White-Bellied Pangolin, the Bongo, which is only found in the Congo, the Leopard, the Forest Elephant, and other rare species.
Day 12-15. En route to Mbandaka
We will slowly paddle our way back to Mbandaka city in kayaks.
Day 16 Flight to Kinshasa
We are going to take a small plane to Kinshasa tomorrow.
Day 17 Flight back home
End of your tour.
