5 Days Kenya Wildlife Adventure
The greatest short safari to experience Kenyan wildlife is this 5-day safari, which will allow you to visit all five of the country’s mammals as well as other species. You will visit Amboseli National Park, Lake Nakuru National Park, and Masai Mara National Park during your five-day Kenya Wildlife Safari, where you may go game viewing, bird watching, and optional village visits. Nairobi is where this all-inclusive journey will begin and finish.
Day by day
DAY 01: Drive to Aberdares national park, game viewing
After picking up in Nairobi in the morning, we drive north via magnificent Aberdares National to Sweetwaters Tented Camp in the heart of the Sweetwaters Game Reserve. The main building was millionaire Adnan Khashoggi’s ranch manager’s home in the early 1970s. The 30 spacious en-suite tents overlook the grasslands and Mount Kenya’s snow-capped peaks.
Sweetwaters Tented Camp is an oasis in savannah grasslands with ‘Whistling Thorn’ plants and Acacia trees. It has a pool, Kenya’s best tented accommodations, and customized service.
Sweetwaters offers lots to see. Giraffe, Zebra, Eland, Oryx, water buck, Grant’s gazelle, Thompson’s gazelle, elephant, buffalo, cheetah, lion, silver-backed Jackals, Ostrich, Hartebeest, Baboon, and Rhino accompany guests on game drives. Many hundred bird species can be seen. Luxury tents, great wildlife viewing, and great food set Sweetwaters tented camp apart.
Lunch at the camp, rest and freshen up, then visit Chimps orphanage in the reserve. Dinner and sleep at the camp.
DAY 02: Morning en-route game viewing as you drive to Lake Nakuru National Park
Following breakfast at the Lodge As you go to Lake Nakuru National Park, you will go on a game drive. You will make a quick lunch stop in Nairobi. Numerous animals can be found in Lake Nakuru National Park, such as lions, buffalos, hippos, waterbucks, warthogs, baboons, the endangered Rothschild’s giraffes, which are only found in this park in Kenya, white rhinos, and the rare black rhinos, which are protected and guarded here.
Leopards are also frequently seen sleeping on the branches of the magnificent yellow-barked acacias. Come for a game drive in the late afternoon.
Along with zebra, eland, waterbuck, lions, and leopards, the Rothschilds giraffe is another distinctive element of the park. Of course, the largest draw of Lake Nakuru is its enormous flamingo population. After dusk, the game drive returns to the lodge for dinner and the night.
DAY 03: Morning en-route game viewing as you drive to Masai Mara
Drive to the renowned Masai Mara National Reserve, which is the setting for “the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth,” which is the yearly migration of more than a million wildebeest, following breakfast and a briefing from your driver guide. Get to your camp in time for lunch. Take a safari in the most visited reserve in Kenya for the afternoon. Return to the lodge in time for supper and campfire cocktails.
DAY 04: Full day game viewing and an optional cultural village visit in Masai Mara
Take in the Masai Mara game reserve for a full day of game drives. You will attempt to track migratory groups near the Mara River today; if you are fortunate, you may witness them crossing the water while crocodiles attempt to capture or hunt some of the participants. Drive back to the camp in the evening for dinner and the night.
DAY 05: Morning Game viewing in Masai Mara National Park and drive back to Nairobi
Following a last game drive in the morning, we return to Nairobi via Narok, the Masai capital, and again traverse the Rift Valley from west to east. When we eventually make it back up the steep eastern slope into Nairobi, the buzz of the city hits us hard. Your five-day Kenya Wildlife Safari will come to an end when you bid goodbye to the other members of the group and are dropped off at your hotel or taken straight to the airport for your trip home.
