DAY 02: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park
You will drive to Parc National des Volcans’ park headquarters following breakfast. After receiving a briefing from the ranger guides, you will begin your gorilla trekking in the light mountain forest on the Virunga slopes with a packed lunch. DAY 03: Golden monkey tracking in Volcanoes National Park and Transfer to Nyungwe National Park for overnight
You will spend roughly two to three hours tracking golden monkeys after breakfast. The most endangered primates in the Volcanoes are these golden monkeys. Following the hike, you will drive to Nyungwe National Park, stopping for lunch and pictures along the way. The biggest montane forest in Central Africa, Nyungwe Forest is home to 13 different species of primates, including chimpanzees and sizable herds of Rwenzori colobus. In Nyungwe Forest National Park, tracking takes place on steep, slick hillsides, and visibility is erratic. Other attractions include over 300 different types of birds, orchids, and butterflies.
DAY 04: Chimpanzee Tracking in Nyungwe National Park
Transfer to the park headquarters after breakfast, where you will receive a briefing from the park warden on proper conduct when tracking chimps.
