3 Days Akagera National Park Safari

You can go on game drives in Akagera National Park to see the Big Five species during this three-day Akagera National Park Wildlife Safari in Rwanda. You will enjoy wonderful nature walks, cultural outings, and bird watching. This all-inclusive three-day safari through Rwanda’s Akagera National Park will begin and finish in Kigali.

Day b y day

DAY 01:  Kigali city tour and transfer to Akagera National Park for an evening game drive and overnight.

Our safari guide will meet you at the airport in Kigali or pick you up from your hotel. After a briefing, you will take a quick tour of the city before continuing on to Akagera National Park. The trip leads you to Akagera National Park in eastern Rwanda, which borders Tanzania. It features rolling grasslands, dense, broad-leafed timber, lighter acacia woodland, and lovely undulating plains with a vast network of lakes connected by papyrus swamps that form a vast wetland.

DAY 02: Game drive and boat trip on Lake Ihema in Akagera National Park

Take a game drive in the park early in the morning. Hippos, elephants, buffalos, giraffes, hyenas, crocodiles, and several other creatures, as well as birds, will be seen during the game drives. Following a late breakfast, you could choose to spend some time in nature or unwind at the lodge before the afternoon canoe trip on Lake Ihema.

DAY 03: Transfer to the Airport for your departure flight

To conclude the three-day Akagera National Park Wildlife Safari in Rwanda, you will travel back to Kigali after breakfast and be dropped off at the airport or your hotel there. Depending on when your flight departs, you will eat a local lunch before heading to the airport.
