3 Day Gorilla Trekking Tour Uganda
In order to spend time with the world’s endangered mountain gorillas, you will go to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park on this three-day Uganda Gorilla Trekking Tour, which begins and concludes in Entebbe or Kampala. There are roughly 500 mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National area, which is home to half of the remaining mountain gorillas in their natural environment. If you visit this area, you have a 99% chance of sighting the gorillas.
Day by day
Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.
Morning:
7:30 AM: After Breakfast at your Hotel Depart from Entebbe or Kampala. It’s a long drive (approximately 8-9 hours).
En Route:
Equator Crossing: Stop at the Uganda Equator in Kayabwe for photos and a quick break.
Lunch: Stop in Mbarara town for a lunch break at a local restaurant.
Afternoon:
Continue the drive through scenic landscapes, passing through Kabale or Kisoro towns depending on the location of your lodge.
Evening:
Arrive in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Check-in at your lodge.
Dinner and rest in preparation for the next day’s trek.

Day 2: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park Gorilla Trekking.
Early Morning:
6:00 AM: Breakfast at the lodge.
7:00 AM: Transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking rules and assignment of gorilla families.
Morning/Afternoon:
8:00 AM: Start the gorilla trek. The trek can last from a few hours to most of the day depending on the location of the gorilla family.
During the Trek: Enjoy the lush forest and wildlife. Once the gorillas are located, spend up to one hour observing them after you will receive your Gorilla Trekking certificate as a souvenir for a successful gorilla trek.
Afternoon:
Return to the lodge for lunch (depending on the length of the trek).
Evening:
Relax at the lodge. You can choose to take a community walk to visit the local Batwa community or relax and enjoy the lodge’s amenities.
Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 3: Departure from Bwindi to Entebbe/Kampala
Morning:
7:00 AM: Breakfast at the lodge.
8:00 AM: Begin the drive back to Entebbe or Kampala.
Optional: Depending on your departure time, you can visit Lake Bunyonyi for a boat ride.
En Route:
Lunch: Stop in Mbarara or another convenient town for lunch.
Afternoon:
Continue the drive back, enjoying the scenic views and making short stops as needed.
Evening:
Arrive in Entebbe or Kampala. Transfer to your hotel or to the airport for your departure flight.
