Day By Day
Day 1: Welcome To Rwanda | Transfer To Your Hotel | Relaxing
Our Monumental Expeditions and Safaris guide will greet and pick you up at Kigali International Airport when you arrive in Rwanda. They will hold an A4 piece of paper with your name printed on it, and they will take you to your hotel so you can check in and unwind.
Day 2: Visit The Genocide Memorial | Travel To Akagera National Park | Boat Ride | Evening Game Drive
Following breakfast, we travel to Kigali and start a city tour that includes a stop at the Kigali Genocide Memorial site, where you may learn a little bit about Rwandan history.
We will then take you to Akagera National Park via car. You’ll check in for lunch after that. On your way to a boat tour, you will take a quick game drive after lunch.
Through community tours, the park has recently engaged the community and made significant conservation progress. The Big Five’s numbers are also growing every day as a result of the lions’ reintroduction.
There are several large species in the park, but the most sought-after ones include lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, elephants, and hippos. These animals will make for amazing photo opportunities.
Day 3: Morning And Evening Game Drives In Akagera National Park
Following breakfast, you will begin your day with an early game drive across the southern, steep, and densely populated area of the park. You may enjoy fantastic views of the park’s lakes, hills, and valleys from the mountainous area. You will be looking for large mammals such as elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, various antelope species, and most recently, the reintroduced lions and rhinos, under the direction of your site guide. By midday, when it’s too hot to see the animals hiding under the trees, this game drive will come to an end, depending on the weather.
You will return to the hotel for lunch following the morning game drive. You will recover and get ready for the quick evening game drive after lunch. It takes roughly 2 hours to play this game. It is anticipated that by this point, animals will begin to emerge from the bushes and move into the open spaces. What does nature have in store for us today? We will transport you back to your accommodation following your evening game drive.
Day 4: Morning Game Drive In Akagera National Park | Return To Kigali
After breakfast, we get up early and head to Akagera National Park for a wildlife drive. Elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, several antelope species, and most recently, the reintroduced lions and rhinos are among the large creatures we will look for. With more than 500 bird species, the park is a birder’s paradise and a diverse habitat for wildlife.
We return to Kigali by car at about noon. While traveling to Kigali, you will stop for lunch.
Day 5: Transfer To Volcanoes National Park | Visit Dian Fossey Center | Visit Iby’iwacu Village
We’ll head north to Volcanoes National Park after breakfast. You will visit the Dian Fossey Center (Karisoke Research Center) when you arrive in Musanze (Ruhengeri).
You will visit the Iby’iwacu village in the evening to engage with the locals and take in Rwandan customs, including traditional dancing.
Day 6: Golden Monkey Trekking | Last day In Rwanda | Travel To Uganda
You will get your trekking equipment and drinking water at the Volcanoes National Park headquarters after breakfast, and then you will set out into the jungle to see the golden monkeys. You will discover fascinating information about golden monkeys while trekking for golden money, which will enhance your Rwandan visit.
After lunch, we’ll travel to Uganda and then make our way to the renowned mountain gorillas’ home, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
You will either eat lunch at your lodging or while traveling to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Finally, to be ready for yet another highlight of your incredible journey, you will check in at the resort.
Day 7: Gorilla Trekking | Birding | Batwa Cultural Interaction And Community Walk
Following an early breakfast, you and your guide will go to the park’s headquarters to receive a briefing on the proper behavior for interacting with gorillas.
Gorilla trekking through the foggy rainforest is about to begin! Depending on where the gentle giants are, trekking can take anything from 2 hours to 6 hours. Covering 331 square kilometers, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is home to more than 346 bird species, 120 mammal species, 400 plant species, and 27 frog species. Make sure you have rain jackets, non-flash cameras, sturdy shoes, and enough water with you.
You will return to the lodge at the conclusion of this lengthy and thrilling trip for a well-earned shower before lunch.
In the evening, you will visit the Batwa by going on a community walk. Anthropologists estimate that these indigenous people have been living in the forest for 60,000 years in order to enjoy traditional theater and dance.
Day 8: Travel To Lake Bunyonyi
Before checking out in the evening for a journey to Lake Bunyonyi, you can unwind after breakfast. Incredible! Lake Bunyonyi is a winding body of water with 29 islands of all sizes and forms strewn around it. Prepare your cameras so you can take amazing photos.
Day 9: Relaxing | Optional Activities At 40 USD Per Person
You can unwind at your hotel until midday after breakfast. Lush, green-terraced hills rising between 2200 and 2478 meters frame Lake Bunyonyi. You can either stay at your lodge and rest after lunch, or you can go out and do optional activities like zip lining, ninja warrior, canoeing, and kayaking, which cost $40 per person and are paid at the lake.

Day 10: Travel To Queen Elizabeth National Park | Evening Game Drive

You will go on a game drive in the evening with the goal of seeing lions hunting. Because it’s cooler, lions typically hunt in the morning.
Day 11: Morning Game Drive In Queen Elizabeth National Park | Boat Ride | Relaxation In The Evening
In order to see the lions hunting in the morning, we will leave at 6:00 am for a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park following an early breakfast. We also anticipate seeing waterbucks, warthogs, elephants, buffalos, leopards, and the Uganda kob.
Take a boat ride on the Kazinga Channel, which links Lake Edward and Lake George, after lunch. You can anticipate seeing a lot of hippos, buffalos, and elephants. After that, return to your lodge.
Day 12: Travel To Fort Portal | Hiking | Crater Lakes Tour | Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru Caves
Following breakfast at the lodge, we will take you to Fort Portal, the capital of the Tooro kingdom, which is located beneath the famous Rwenzori Mountains, also known as the Mountains of the Moon.
At 6:30 a.m., we will leave Kampala, traveling through tea plantations and Uganda’s verdant countryside.
You will stroll along the shores of Lake Kyaninga, a unique lake formed by a twinned volcano crater. At your doorstep, the lake offers breathtaking walks! See the crater lake in all its splendor by going on a guided tour around its rim.
You can take a tour of the nearby communities in Kyaninga to get a great look at rural Ugandan life.
You will see the three nearby explosion crater lakes as well as the Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru Caves. Hiking, learning about the local culture and stories, and exploring three crater lakes will all be part of the side excursion to the Amabere Caves and the nearby crater lakes.
Day 13: Chimpanzee Tracking | Visit The Bigodi Swamp
You’re going to get up early and eat breakfast. Depending on where the chimpanzees are, the tracking will begin early and take 2-3 hours.
Following the hike, you will explore Bigodi Swamp and have lunch at the lodge. There are many wildlife in this lovely rainforest environment, including birds, monkeys, and maybe forest elephants.
Day 14: Travel To Murchison Falls National Park | Short Evening Game Drive
Following an early breakfast, you will travel via Kibale and Hoima on your way to Murchison Falls National Park.
More than 73 animal species, including buffaloes, leopards, lions, and elephants, as well as three-quarters of the world’s Rothschild giraffe population and a robust population of other herbivores, may be found in Uganda’s largest protected area, Murchison Falls National Park.
After a game drive in the evening upon your arrival in Murchison Falls National Park, you will return to your lodge.
Day 15: Morning Game Drive | Boat Cruise | Evening Game Drive
You will play a morning game after breakfast. The largest protected area in Uganda is the well-known Murchison Falls National Park. There are roughly 451 bird species, 23 of which are endemic to the Albertine Rift, in addition to a large number of animal species.
You will return to the lodge for lunch following the morning wildlife drive.
In the afternoon, you will set out on a three-hour boat ride on the Nile from 2:00 to 4:00.
From the bottom, this boat trip provides a breathtaking perspective of the falls. Along the river’s banks, one can spot antelopes, crocodiles, hippos, and aquatic birds.
After that, you’ll head back to the lodge for a game drive in the evening.
Day 16: Top Of The Falls Tour | Hiking At The Falls | Rhino Tracking | Transfer To Kampala
We will take you to the top of the falls after breakfast, where you will climb all the way down.
Seeing the surging whitewater as it squeezes through the small opening below is an exhilarating experience. Rainbows are frequently created by the turbulence-induced mist.
You will monitor rhinos at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary on your trip to Kampala. At the sanctuary, tracking the endangered white rhinos is an amazing activity that you will love. We will drive to Kampala following the rhino tracking.
Day 17: Last day In Uganda | Fly To Kenya | Transfer To Hotel
Following breakfast, you will unwind at your lodge for a while before dining at one of the town’s restaurants for lunch. Later in the evening, we will take you to Entebbe International Airport in preparation for your journey to Kenya.

Day 18: Travel To Lake Naivasha National Park | Boat Ride
Eat breakfast in the morning, check out, and head to Lake Naivasha. After checking into your accommodation upon arriving at Lake Naivasha National Park, you will depart for an evening boat cruise.
One of Kenya’s most popular tourist destinations is undoubtedly Lake Naivasha National Park. It serves as a gateway to a diverse range of species, to start. Your family will enjoy breathtaking views of fish eagles, flamingos, and hippos on a boat excursion.
Day 19: Travel To Hell’s Gate National Park | Bike Riding | Transfer To Lake Nakuru | Evening Game Drive
At Hell’s Gate National Park, you’ll go biking for roughly 2 hours after breakfast.
You will be taken to Lake Nakuru National Park after your bike ride, reaching your resort in time for lunch. You will go on a game drive in the evening after lunch.
The flamingos and more than 400 bird species in Lake Nakuru National Park are the park’s main attractions. Located on the rift valley floor, the lake is a soda lake. Millions of flamingos are a breathtaking sight. The lake looks rimmed in pink from a distance.
Additionally, Lake Nakuru National Park has gained recognition as a crucial refuge for endangered animals, including the black and white rhino and the Rothschild giraffe. This area is also home to baboons, buffalo, waterbuck, and lions.![]()
Day 20: Morning Game Drive | Travel To Maasai Mara National Reserve | Evening Game Drive
Go on an early morning game drive after breakfast. One of Kenya’s most famous soda lakes, Lake Nakuru is well-known throughout the world for drawing millions of flamingos to its alkaline waters. It is breathtaking to see the hordes of fuchsia-pink flamingos devour the profusion of algae that grows in the warm, shallow seas.
You will be taken to Masai Mara National Reserve following the morning drive. You will arrive in the evening after passing across the floor of the Rift Valley.
You will enjoy a game drive in the evening when you arrive. Lions, rhinoceroses, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopards, various antelopes, and elephants will all be within easy sightings.
Perhaps the most stunning natural event takes place in the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Millions of zebra and wildebeest migrate each year from Tanzania’s Serengeti in quest of water and better pastures.
Day 21: Balloon Safari (Optional Activity) | Morning Game Drive | Maasai Village Tour | Evening Game Drive
Before we start the planned program, we can arrange an optional early morning balloon safari (US $490 per person).
We advise tourists to reserve a balloon safari well in advance. Unfortunately, this experience is often fully booked due to our restricted capacity.
We will seek for famous predators and their prey in the reserve for half a day after breakfast. Among other animal species, we will search for zebra, buffalo, giraffe, lion, cheetah, elephant, and wildebeest. You’ll bring your own lunch.
Later in the afternoon, you will have a cultural tour of the nearby Maasai hamlet. You can engage with the local Maasai people and learn more about the Maasai community here.
You will go on a wildlife drive in the evening following the Maasai community visit. The diversity and richness of wildlife in the Masai Mara National Reserve make it hard to imagine that more than 450 animal species have been identified there.
Day 22: Transfer from Masai Mara National Reserve to Serengeti National Park | Evening Game Drive
We will pack sandwiches and drive to Isebania, the Kenya-Tanzania border, following an early breakfast. We will switch safari vehicles and meet our driver guide from Tanzania. We’ll drive to Serengeti National Park once the border formalities are over.
Before continuing on to the Mara Kati Kati Tented Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay, you will play an evening game.
Day 23: Game Drive in Serengeti National Park | Optional Hot Air Balloon Safari (US $600 per person)
To make the most of your time here, you will rise early and spend the entire day in the park. We may make arrangements for you to take part in an optional hot air balloon safari in the Serengeti National Park.
Tanzania’s oldest national park, the Serengeti, is well-known for the annual migration of millions of antelope, primarily wildebeest, to Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve. In addition to being a fantastic photo opportunity, this vast, seasonal voyage is a very poignant event. During game drives, visitors can explore the park’s expansive plains, or they can have a once-in-a-lifetime wilderness trip in a hot air balloon.
Depending on the season, our guides will select the top spots for seeing animals. We’ll also spend time at the hippo pool, where we can observe these magnificent creatures relaxing in the refreshing water and coexisting peacefully with the crocodiles. We may even spot massive prides of lions!
Day 24: Travel to Ngorongoro Crater
We will pack lunches and head to Ngorongoro Crater for a wildlife drive following an early breakfast.
The largest dormant caldera in the world is Ngorongoro Crater.
We’ll travel to Arusha in the late afternoon for dinner and an overnight stay at Outpost Lodge.
Day 25: Last day in Tanzania | Flight Back Home
We’ll take you to Arusha town for shopping after breakfast. Arusha is renowned for producing coffee. Sunflower seeds, sisal, and many other crops are farmed here.
After eating lunch in town, you will travel to Kilimanjaro International Airport in time for your planned return flight.
