One of the most thrilling animal experiences on the planet is gorilla trekking. Only 650 mountain gorillas remain in the world today, and it is invaluable to view them at Bwindi, home to more than half of them. As you enter the kingdom of a real King Kong, your ranger or guides will lead the way. The one hour you are permitted to spend with a gorilla family will be enjoyable, because the mountain gorilla is a fairly calm animal.![]()
Day 4: Bwindi to Kigali International Airport to Nairobi, Kenya
After a hearty breakfast in the morning, depart from the lodge and travel from Uganda into Rwanda, arriving at Kigali International Airport in time for your departure to Nairobi. Compared to Entebbe International Airport in Uganda, Rwanda’s Kigali Airport is closer to Bwindi (around three hours). In order to enter Kenya, Rwanda, and Uganda, we advise visitors to obtain an East African tourist visa.
You will only be in Rwanda for transit this morning. Our agent will pick you up from the Nairobi airport and transport you to your accommodation for the night. Your guide will be pleased to give you a tour of Nairobi’s nightlife if you’d like.

Day 6: Masai Mara National Reserve Game Drive
For a full day of wildlife viewing across the lush, tree-studded grasslands and undulating hills, start your day with an early breakfast and pack your lunchboxes.
