Beginning and ending in Arusha, this safari is an all-inclusive journey.
Day by day
DAY 01: Pickup from Arusha and drive to Lake Manyara National Park
Your driving guide will pick you up from your Arusha hotel after breakfast, and you will travel to Lake Manyara National Park, where you will arrive in the afternoon. You will settle into your lodge, eat a hot lunch, unwind, and then go on an afternoon wildlife drive. Despite being the smallest park in Tanzania, Lake Manyara National Park offers a wide range of species for visitors to witness, including guinea fowls, dik-diks, bushbacks, zebras, and wildebeests. Elephants can be seen drinking and playing in the cool waters as you drive through bush tracks and explore the Lake, which is home to thousands of Flamingos, and the river’s winding paths. You will visit the local town and take an optional short trip down the Great Rift Valley in the late afternoon. During the hike, you will get the opportunity to take in the sounds of the surrounding waterfalls and forest.
DAY 02: Morning game drive and drive to Serengeti National Park.
Following breakfast, you will take a quick game drive at daybreak before continuing northwestward on your way to Serengeti National Park. Continue to the Serengeti National Park (endless plain) after ascending the rugged, switchback route into the Ngorongoro Highlands. After an afternoon to dusk wildlife drive, head to your overnight camps for food and rest.
DAY 03: Full day Game drives in Serengeti National Park
On this day, you will explore Serengeti National Park on full-day wildlife drives. This will provide you with the chance to see lions, leopards, and cheetahs. You go on a game drive at 6 a.m. to look for early bird grazers, and then you have a bush breakfast at 8 a.m. After that, you go on another game drive to look for more animals. At noon, you enjoy a picnic and unwind while taking in the stunning Serengeti. Following lunch, you will continue your afternoon wildlife drive before returning to the lodge for dinner and the night.
DAY 04: Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with en-route game
Following the transfer, there will be wildlife drives in the morning before sunrise before dinner and sleep at the Ngorongoro Crater Rim. For breathtaking views of hippos and other wildlife, you will stop by the Retima Hippo Pool en route. Additionally, you might choose to go through the Olduvai Gorge. Numerous amazing archeological finds have been made in this region. It’s also a lovely place with Tanzanian Acacia trees towering over the countryside and lush, grassy ground. Another choice would be to go to a Masai village and discover their captivating singing and dance as well as their nomadic culture. You should definitely attempt to compete in the high jumps of the Maasai men!
DAY 05: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the crater to see wildlife. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area feeds herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and enormous African elephants with year-round water and forage. People call Ngorongoro Crater the eighth wonder of the world! Over 25,000 huge creatures live in the crater, formed by a volcano millions of years ago. The large, walled crater with beautiful lakes, rich forests, and broad grasslands is home to peaceful creatures. The crater floor has forest, wetlands, lakes, springs, grassland, and sandy dunes due to its size and diversity. This wildlife experience is amazing. Lake Magadi, a massive but shallow alkaline lake in the southwest portion, is a major feature of the crater. Flamingos, hippos, and other water fowl are often spotted here. Your 5-Day Tanzania Wildife Safari ends with drop-off in Arusha.
