4 Day Uganda Gorilla and Golden Monkey Safari from Kigali

For customers who want to follow gorillas and experience golden monkeys, Kigali offers a 4-day Gorilla and Golden Monkey Safari. In Mgahinga National Park, you can witness the golden monkey encounter, and in Bwindi National Park, you can hike gorillas. Instead of taking eight or nine hours to get from Entebbe International Airport to Bwindi, the trip from Kigali to Bwindi will only take four or five hours.

Day by day

DAY 01: Pick up from Kigali to start your 4 Day Gorilla and Golden Monkey Safari from Kigali.

To begin your 4-day Gorilla and Golden Monkey Safari from Kigali, our guide will pick you up from the airport or guest home and take you to Bwindi National Park. You will traverse the Cyanika/Katuna border to enter Uganda. You will be able to see the Kigezi slopes, which are distinguished by their undulating slopes and picturesque valleys, along the drive. After that, you will spend the night at Bwindi National Park.

DAY 02: Gorilla tracking in bwindi national park and transfer to mgahinga national.

You will depart the lodge with your packed lunch after an early breakfast and proceed to the park for a briefing. After receiving a briefing on the Dos and Don’ts, you will be assigned to the group you are responsible for monitoring.Please be aware that tracking can be exhausting and demanding, therefore you should let your guide know how fit you are so he can assign you to a more appropriate gorilla group for your walk.

After that, you will follow along with your guide, who will provide you any information you might need. You are permitted to take pictures, but not for more than an hour. To obtain your gorilla tracking certificate, you will return to the headquarters. After that, return to the lodge for the night.

DAY 03: Golden monkey trekking

Go to Mgahinga National Park for golden monkey trekking after an early breakfast. You will begin your hunt for golden monkeys following the park headquarters’ briefing. These endangered animals have a much-needed home in the bamboo forests of Mgahinga. With their many colors—including long golden hair with hints of orange and black limbs—golden monkeys are stunning to see. Before heading back to your accommodation for the night, this golden monkey walk will introduce you to other park highlights.

DAY 04: Transfer to kigali.

Your four-day Gorilla and Golden Monkey Safari from Kigali will come to an end when our guide returns you to the city for your international flight after breakfast.
