Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After breakfast, your safari guide will pick you up from Kampala or Entebbe for a scenic drive to southwestern Uganda. Enjoy stops at the Equator line in Kayabwe and local markets along the way. Arrive at your lodge near Bwindi in the late afternoon.
Drive time: 8–9 hours
Accommodation Options: Buhoma Community Rest Camp (Budget), Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge (Midrange), or Mahogany Springs Lodge (Luxury).
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest
Start early with a briefing at the park headquarters before venturing into the dense forest for your gorilla trekking adventure. Guided by experienced rangers, you’ll track a gorilla family and spend one mesmerizing hour observing them in their natural environment. Return to your lodge and relax, or enjoy an optional Batwa cultural experience in the evening.
Accommodation: Same lodge as previous night.
Day 3: Return to Kampala or Entebbe
After breakfast, begin your return journey to Kampala or Entebbe, with scenic views and lunch en route. Optional stopovers at Lake Bunyonyi or craft markets. Drop-off in the evening at your hotel or airport.
