Day By Day

Day 1: Arrive In Uganda | Travel To Murchison Falls National Park | Top Of Falls | Hiking

Our Monumental Expeditions and Safaris representative will pick you up in Uganda with your name on an A4 paper. Morning transfer from Entebbe International Airport to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest protected region. It has more than 73 animal species, including buffaloes, leopards, lions, elephants, 3/4 of the world’s Rothschild giraffes, nutritious herbivores, and 451 bird species.

You’ll climb the falls upon arrival. Hike from the falls’ top to bottom. You may see the Nile fight its way through a rock gorge and descend 43m into Lake Albert. Murchison Falls are powered by the Nile River flowing through the park. Did you know Murchison Falls is one of the world’s strongest waterfalls?

Day 2: Morning Game Drive | Boat Cruise | Birding | Evening Game Drive

A morning game drive on the Northern Nile Delta will begin at 5:45 am after breakfast.

This wildlife drive also includes bird watching and sightseeing amid open savannah, scattered woodland, and riverine vegetation along the Nile and Albert Delta.

Return to your accommodation for an early lunch after the game drive. You’ll take a three-hour Nile cruise in the afternoon.

After the boat ride, you’ll embark on an evening game drive to see creatures you missed in the morning.

Day 3: Travel To Kibale National Park| Community Walk

After breakfast, leave Murchison Falls National Park and drive southwest across the Albertine Escarpment of the Western Rift Valley. Fort Portal, the Tooro kingdom’s capital, is at the foot of the Rwenzori, the “Mountains of the Moon,” after driving through Hoima and Kyejonjo districts. Lunch will either be on the road or at Kyaninga Lodge.

Drive to Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary in Kibale for a community walk and culture. It’s amazing in Magombe swamp. This area is home to many primate species, including the red Colobus monkey, baboon, black and white Columbus monkey, blue monkey, grey-cheeked mangabey, vervet monkey, red-tailed monkey, and L’Hoest monkey.

After breakfast at five in the morning, you will travel to Kibale National Park, which is home to the greatest number of chimpanzees. With over 4950 chimpanzees, Uganda is home to the most chimpanzees in the world, while Kibale National Park is home to roughly 1500 chimpanzees.

Depending on where the chimps are, the tracking will begin early and last for two to three hours.

You will return to the lodge to unwind after the hike.

Day 5: Visit Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru Caves | Travel To Queen Elizabeth National Park |Boat Ride | Game Drive

The Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru Caves and three Crater Lake explosions will be visited. The most exciting day of adventure may be done in Fort Portal. Trekking to the Amabere Caves and three nearby crater lakes will teach you about local culture and mythology.

Tour Queen Elizabeth National Park. Wildlife and people cohabit in this enormous park.

Check into the hotel for lunch, then take a boat cruise. Wildlife viewing is best from a Kazinga Channel boat excursion. You’ll see squacco herons, pied kingfishers, buffalo, hippo, basking crocodiles, and many bird and mammal species.

The boat ride will be followed by an evening game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park to see lions hunting.

Day 6: Ishasha Sector | Transfer To Bwindi Impenetrable Forest | Cultural Interaction

You’ll be taken to Ishasha Sector for the Kasenyi Plains’ tree-climbing lions after breakfast. Ishasha is in southern Queen Elizabeth.

Experience Ishasha’s tree-climbing lions on a game drive. The Ishasha Sector’s tree-climbing lions are a highlight. Lions swing from gigantic fig trees in the southern part of this park, while the Uganda kob grazes in the Ishasha Sector.

After a wildlife drive in Ishasha, visit Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to mountain gorillas. Gorilla trekking is a top safari activity. We’ll take a community walk to see the Batwa, an indigenous clan that has lived in the forest for 500,000 years, and experience their traditional dances.

After breakfast, visit the park headquarters with your guide to learn about gorilla park rules.

Based on the gentle giants’ location, gorilla trekking can take 2–6 hours. Bring ample water, sturdy shoes, non-flash cameras, and rain coats. Less than 1200 mountain gorillas remain, and roughly half live in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

After this thrilling journey, shower and eat lunch at your lodge.

Check out in the evening for a transfer to Lake Bunyonyi after relaxing. You’ll be amazed by its meandering water body with 29 islets of varying forms and sizes.

Day 8: Relax | Zip Lining | Ninja Warrior

You will unwind at your hotel until lunchtime following breakfast. The lush, green-terraced hills that rise between 2,200 and 2,478 meters surround Lake Bunyonyi.
It is most likely Africa’s second-deepest lake. There is no bilharzia, making it one of the few lakes in Africa that is absolutely safe for swimming.

After lunch, you will go zip lining, which is an activity that takes place over the lake. Here, you will engage in yet another fascinating activity. As you complete the Ninja Warrior Challenge, your muscles will be stretched.

Day 9: Equator | Transfer to Kampala

You will be driven to Kampala after breakfast. In Masaka, you will make a stopover at the equator. See how our globe is divided into two equal hemispheres by this imaginary line. Here, you can take pictures, grab some snacks, and make keepsakes. You will have a city tour when you get to Kampala.

Day 10: Travel To River Nile | White Water Rafting & Discovering the Nile

Pack a breakfast and leave for Jinja at six in the morning. The Mabira Forest will be traversed throughout your drive. It is roughly 300 square kilometers of rainforest. Numerous endangered species, including the primate Lophocebus Uganda, can be found there.

You will do white water rafting on the rapids when you reach to Jinja, which is an exciting and unique experience.
The Nile River begins its 4000-kilometer journey through several African nations in Jinja.

You will have lunch at your hotel after white water rafting.

You are leaving Uganda tonight. You will swim and unwind at the lodge. This day doesn’t have any significant activities.

Day 12: Transfer To Kampala | Fly to Nairobi

After breakfast on this particular day, you will be driven to the starting site for your journey to find the Nile’s source. You’ll take a Nile boat ride with a guide. To go to Kampala, you will be driven. Visit a restaurant in Kampala or Jinja for lunch. After that, you will be driven to the Entebbe Airport in preparation for your journey to Kenya.

When you arrive at 9:00 p.m., a representative from Monumental Expeditions and Safaris will greet you and print your name on an A4 piece of paper. After greeting you at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, they will take you to your Nairobi hotel.

Day 13: Travel To Lake Naivasha | Boat Ride

After breakfast in the morning, check out and head to Lake Naivasha. One of Kenya’s most popular tourist destinations is undoubtedly Lake Naivasha. It’s a gateway to a wide range of species, to start. With your family, you can enjoy breathtaking views of fish eagles, flamingos, and hippos while on a boat excursion.

After checking into your accommodation when you arrive in Lake Naivasha, you will depart for an evening boat excursion.

Day 14: Bike Riding (Cycling Safari)| Travel to Lake Nakuru National Park | Evening Game Drive

A 2-hour bicycle safari at Hell’s Gate National Park follows breakfast. Lunch will be served on the route to Lake Nakuru National Park.

An evening game drive awaits you at Lake Nakuru National Park.

Flamingos and over 400 bird species make Lake Nakuru National Park famous. The soda lake located on the Rift Valley floor. Millions of flamingos are stunning. Pink rings surround the lake from afar.

Lake Nakuru National Park is a sanctuary for endangered species including Rothschild giraffes and black and white rhinos. Lions, waterbucks, buffaloes, and baboons live here.

Day 15: Morning Game Drive in Lake Nakuru National Park | Travel To Masai Mara National Reserve

Go on an early morning game drive after breakfast. One of Kenya’s most famous soda lakes, Lake Nakuru is well-known throughout the world for drawing millions of flamingos to its alkaline beaches. It’s amazing to see these hordes of fuchsia-pink flamingos feeding on the profusion of algae that grows in the warm, shallow seas.

Make your way to Masai Mara after the morning drive. You will arrive in the evening after traveling via the Rift Valley floor.

Day 16: Game Drives | Maasai Village Tour | Cultural Interaction

After breakfast, we will spend half a day in the park with a packed lunch searching for zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, lion, cheetah, elephant, buffalo, and other predators and prey.

Perhaps the most stunning natural event occurs in Masai Mara Game Reserve. Millions of wildebeest and zebra leave Tanzania’s Serengeti for water and grazing each year.

Visit a Maasai village for an evening cultural tour. Meet local Maasai people and learn about their community. Request a Maasai village overnight stay.

This day’s balloon safari costs USD 485 per person and can be done in the morning before the regular program.

Day 17: Last Night In Kenya | Transfer From Maasai Mara National Reserve To Serengeti National Park

Drive to Isebania, Kenya-Tanzania border, with packed lunches after breakfast. Meet your Tanzania driver/guide, swap safari cars, complete immigration, and travel to Serengeti National Park with packed lunches. You may view all five Big Five animals at Serengeti National Park: lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard.

Tanzania’s oldest wildlife reserve, Serengeti National Park, is famous for hosting the annual great migration of three million wildebeest to Kenya’s Maasai Mara National Reserve.

Day 18: Game Drives In the Serengeti National Park | Optional Hot Air Balloon Safari (US $600 per person)

This beautiful park will keep you busy all day. You’ll get up early to maximize your time in this beautiful park. A hot air balloon safari in Serengeti National Park is optional and costs $600 per person. You can choose a balloon hot safari or morning wildlife drive after breakfast.

Our guides identify season-appropriate spotting spots. At the hippo pool, we can observe these majestic animals relax in the cold water with the crocodiles. Also, see a large lion pride and more.

In Maasai, the Serengeti means “endless plains”. It is one of the world’s most famous wilderness places and inspires writers, filmmakers, and photographers.

Day 19: Last Night in Tanzania| Travel To Ngorongoro Crater | Game Drive | Travel To Lake Manyara

After breakfast, head to Ngorongoro Crater for a wildlife drive and packed lunch.

The Ngorongoro Crater Highlands lead to the base of the 2,000-foot Rift Valley Escarpment. An evening game drive.

The narrow acacia woods and seasonal Lake Manyara floodplain are here. Lake Manyara National Park, noted for its tree-climbing lions, is often ignored but game-rich.

Day 20: Final Day | Flight Back Home

After breakfast, head to Arusha to shop. After lunch in town, proceed to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your homeward flight. A fascinating adventure through a gorgeous corner of the world is our expectation.
