12 Day Chimpanzees, Gorillas, Serengeti & Masai-mara

Those interested in wildlife viewing in Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park, Kenya’s Masai Mara Conservation Area, tracking chimpanzees in Kibale National Park, and tracking mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park should consider this 12-day safari. Game drives, chimpanzee and gorilla tracking, birdwatching, and community interactions are all possible during this trip. There will be opportunities for you to see chimpanzees, mountain gorillas, lions, buffalos, cheetahs, leopards, black rhinos, and many more animals.

Day by day

DAY 01:  Arrival and Pick up from the Airport/Hotel in Nairobi for a flight to Serengeti National Park

After picking you up from the hotel or airport, an Encounter Africa Safaris driving guide will take you to Wilson Airport so you may board a flight to the Serengeti via Migori and clear customs. You begin your aerial bird’s view of the stunning Kenyan highlands as you fly over the Serengeti grasslands and Rift Valley. In the afternoon, you will reach Serengeti National Park. One of the best safari lodges in the Serengeti is where you will check in.

DAY 02: Game drives in Serengeti

You begin your first full day at the renowned Serengeti National Park with an early breakfast. Explore this natural sanctuary for the entire day. We will eat lunch at one of the park’s charming picnic spots. Following this, you will carry on with your quest to see as much of the diverse wildlife as possible in the region.

DAY 03: Fly from Serengeti National Park to Masai mara

You will take a flight to Masai Mara following an early breakfast. The Masai Mara is one of Africa’s most well-known safari locations because of its number of lions, the Great Wildebeest Migration, and the Maasai people, who are distinguished by their unique customs and attire. After seeing these bursting marvels, you will head back to the resort for dinner and refreshments to cap off the day.

DAY 04: Morning Game drive and Community Visit (the Masai)

With a morning game drive and an afternoon spent taking in the rhythms of the Masai people’s way of life while purchasing ready-made, locally-made gifts, the third day will offer yet another thrilling experience in the park. Coffee picking, milking cows, harvesting corn, and visiting a nearby church or school are just a few of the many things you can do.

DAY 05: Full day masai mara

DAY 06: Masai- mara to Kibale National Park via Kisumu and Entebbe for customs.

DAY 07: After breakfast drive to kichwa tembo for domestic flight to kibale National park via Kisumu and Entebbe

DAY 08: Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale National Park

DAY 09: Domestic flight from Kasese to Kisoro

DAY 10: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi or Mgahinga

DAY 11: Golden monkey tracking

DAY 12: Domestic flight from Kisoro to Entebbe for onward international flight back home to end the 12 Day Serengeti, Masai-mara, Chimpanzees & Gorillas
