11 Days Gorillas and Tanzania Adventure.
Trekking mountain gorillas in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and seeing wildlife in Tanzania’s Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro, and Lake Eyasi Conservation Area are the highlights of this 11-day Gorillas and Tanzania Safari. You can engage in community interactions, wildlife drives, and birdwatching while on this trip. There will be opportunities for you to see animals like as lions, Hadze tribe, buffalo, cheetahs, leopards, and black rhinos.
Day by day
DAY 01: Pick up and drive to Tarangire National park
You will be picked up from your hotel and driven to this unique national park following an early breakfast. With nine distinct flora zones and a profusion of baobab trees, the park is well-known for its varied scenery. Numerous species of birds, lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and, of course, elephants can be found along the park’s river. Lunch will be served in an extremely interesting location with fantastic views of the river and animals, and if you’re lucky, there’s a strong possibility you’ll spot a hunt. On your way to your lodging, you will go on a game drive in the afternoon.
DAY 02: Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park
For a full-day game drive, you will travel through the Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park today. Despite its tiny size, this park boasts stunning scenery, including a rich acacia forest, enormous figs, and giraffes, elephants, numerous buffaloes, and impalas. Rare climbing lions and flamingos along the lakeshore are unique to this area.
DAY 03: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
You will go to the Serengeti, the most well-known national park in the world, following an early breakfast. The trip through the crater highlands is lengthy but breathtaking, with a brief stop at the rim for a breathtaking vista of Ngorongoro Crater. In addition to 2 million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and a variety of antelopes, including the prodigious impalas and Thomson’s gazelles, it is the site of the Great Migration.
DAY 04 & 5: Serengeti National Park
In Serengeti National Park, you will go on wildlife drives for two full days. An opportunity to witness enormous predators and cats, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. In addition to more than 500 kinds of birds, this park is home to smaller creatures like mongoose, foxes, honey badgers, jackals, baboons, and rock hyrax.
DAY 06: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
You will go on an early morning game drive today and watch one of the most breathtaking sunrises you will ever see. It is truly among the most exquisite experiences one can have.
Following the game drive, we have a satisfying brunch at the resort before visiting Ngorongoro, the eighth wonder of the natural world. It has the highest concentration of African animals and is one of the few locations on the continent where you may observe black rhinos. Elephants, the largest in the world and capable of enormous tasks, are another reason for Ngorongoro’s fame.
DAY 07: Ngorongoro and transfer to Lake Eyasi
For an amazing morning of wildlife in one of the most breathtaking locations on the planet, we will begin the day very early and make our way down into the crater bottom. One of the very few places on the entire continent where you can see a black rhino is here. The crater features broad plains, a forest, a river, many wetlands, and a soda lake with a high concentration of flamingos. next lunch, we’ll have time for a quick game drive before climbing the crater and leaving the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in the direction of Lake Eyasi, where you’ll have an amazing cultural experience the next day.
DAY 08: Lake Eyasi, cultural Encounter of Hadzare Tribe and back to Arusha for your flight to Uganda or Kigali, Rwanda
You and your guide get up early today and set out to locate the Hadzabe tribe, one of Africa’s last nomadic groups. You can take part in the tribe’s daily hunting activities with the men or in the fruit-gathering sessions with the women. Following your activities with the Hadze Tribe, you will go to Lake Eyasi, a seasonally shallow salt lake located on the Great Rift Valley bottom. After that, you will return to Arusha in preparation for your departure to either Kigali, Rwanda, or Uganda.
DAY 09: Pick up from Kampala/Entebbe/Kigali and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
On this day, your tour guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Kigali or Kampala/Entebbe and begin the lengthy but worthwhile drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, where you will encounter local people and take in breathtaking scenery. Depending on your request and time, you will have the opportunity to stop near the Equator for pictures, have lunch while traveling, and make more alternative stops.
DAY 10: Gorilla tracking Experience and Community visit
You will drive to the park headquarters after breakfast at the accommodation for a briefing from Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger guides who will assign you a gorilla family group to walk. After your group of eight is confirmed, the two ranger guides will accompany you into the deep impenetrable forest to look for endangered Mountain Gorillas. Gorillas are always searched from the previous day’s location. The famous gorillas can only be interacted with for one hour, and you must keep silence. You can capture photos, etc. Evening community walks in the local Batwa community will delight and teach you about their culture.
Gorilla tracking can be tough depending on the hike, which is usually decided by weather and the gorillas’ movement in the forest, but it is highly organized, so you have a 99% chance of seeing them. Advanced trackers monitor gorilla movements all day in the jungle, so you know where they nested last night and where to look for them. Two ranger guides will conduct you through the walk, clearing and building pathways and imparting mountain gorilla and Bwindi forest information. After the trip, you’ll return to the start to get your mountain gorilla tracking credentials in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.
DAY 11: Transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe/Kigali to end the tour
After an early breakfast, you will begin your drive back to Kampala/Entebbe, making stops along the way to take pictures of some of the tourist attractions. You will reach Kampala/Entebbe in the late afternoon and be taken back to conclude the tour.
