Uganda safari and Beach

Uganda safari and beach: gorillas, Safaris and beaches—is it possible?

The Uganda Safari and Beach combination… relish an exhilarating safari escapade with an amazing Gorilla Trekking experience. Sighting these gentle giants (mountain gorillas) has become an incredible dream for most of the travelers to Uganda. And the best place to track them is Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Different people have rapidly gotten involved in gorilla tracking, which is an unforgettable experience that brings you into contact with these gentle giants in their natural homes. And this has given morale to these travelers to push further and unwind in Zanzibar, resting on its idyllic beaches after having had a gorilla trekking trip in Uganda. In other wards, after this incredible activity (gorilla trekking), visiting Zanzibar for beach relaxation is an option not to be ignored. It has glorious beaches and a fascinating island history.

Gorilla Trekking Permit costs

A combination of gorilla trekking activity and Zanzibar will be very incredible, not forgetting that gorilla permits in Uganda cost $600-Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

How do I access this destination—Bwindi Impenetrable National Park?

Kampala / Entebbe-Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is roughly 8 hours by road. This drive gives you a wide view of Ugandan life in the areas and places you come passing through, proceed through the magnificent green Pearl of Africa, and cross the Equator (where, if time allows, you can stopover and take photos). Another alternative is flying from Entebbe to Bwindi, for which a round-trip air ticket costs $450, specifically with the Aerolink Uganda in about 11/2 hours. You will fly over the Lake Victoria Islands in south-western Uganda. Transfer from Kisoro Airstrip or Kihihi is about 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your choice to trek gorillas from.

Where to stay in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

There are several places to stay in this National Park, like Wagtail Eco Safari Camp, which offers you an extreme approach to experiencing the Panoramic slopes of Kigezi as you visit the camp; Mutanda Lake Resort, situated on a private promontory extending into Lake Mutanda, with little islands dabbing the encompassing lake and a scenery of hazy volcanoes; Buhoma Community Bandas (offers traditional ‘bandas’), which was built using local and natural materials; it commands spectacular and uninterrupted views of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, home to the rare and elusive Mountain Gorilla, to mention but a few.

The Beauty therein-Zanzibar

There are white beaches, short trips (excursions),  local foods and clean waters. There is no gorilla trekking in Zanzibar; therefore, all this is enjoyed after your gorilla trekking experience in either Uganda or Rwanda, and it mainly works for those with longer tours or trips on/in African safaris,  like those who wish to do at least 3 Days Gorilla trekking in Uganda and then have a flight to Zanzibar. Good. These islands in Zanzibar have a wealth of historical monuments to tour that honor African, British and particularly Arab influences: sultan’s palaces, cathedrals, mosques, fortresses and dynasties. “Spice Tours” are the ideal way to see the island’s historic sites and spice plantations. There is also a sanctuary for the rare Zanzibar duiker and the red colobus monkey in the dwindling Jozani Forest, just twenty-five kilometers from the town.

How to Reach Zanzibar (Travel options) and the cost

One will have a flight from Uganda (Entebbe International Airport) to Zanzibar at a cost of between $250 and $600, depending on which service operator you have used, and these flights are there daily. In that case, you could have the gorilla tour first in either Uganda or Rwanda, then proceed to the Zanzibar beaches for extra enjoyment. Monumental Expeditions in Uganda does present you Gorilla safari packages and as well help you organize Gorilla and Zanzibar safaris.
